GARMENT TUNNEL OVEN FOR LEADING SHIRT MANUFACTURER
IOSS Ltd have just successfully completed the overseas installation of a tunnel oven for processing wrinkle free garments for a leading shirt manufacturer.
The oven is fitted with electric and steam heaters with the facility to run electric only heating, combined steam and electric heating or steam only heating.

A leading manufacturer of foam weather seals used in glazing units asked IOSS Ltd to survey a number of large ovens which are used for curing the extruded foam, with a view to putting forward recommendations for improving the efficiency of the ovens.
A heat mapping survey of one of the oldest 13 metre long ovens revealed that the oven temperature uniformity and stability were poor, leading to slower production rates and reduced efficiency.
The company asked us to go ahead with our recommendations for improving the first oven and, after replacing the air re-circulation fan assembly and fitting air distribution ducts inside the oven, the temperature uniformity was significantly improved.
Replacing the oven doors and insulating the external air distribution ducts had also lead to improved thermal efficiency.
IOSS Ltd have now been asked to carry out the same modification to the next oven and the plan is to eventually upgrade all the process ovens.
IOSS Ltd are working in partnership with a leading UK engineering company to design and build a series of bespoke ovens used in the production of injection moulded automotive components at various UK locations.
